Vizio HDTV reviews
Vizio has recently made itself a name in the market of HDTVs. It now ranks among the top five brands in America. According to Vizio HDTV reviews, Vizio has a reputation of selling quality HDTVs which offer excellent picture quality and the best audio and sound effects. If you are rather tight on budget and still require a great HDTV then the Vizio Plasma TV is an ideal choice for you.
Although Vizio has the technology and know how of creating efficient HDTVs however there have been a few areas where the manufacture needs to lay emphasis on. There have been a few problems with the image quality in particular. When hooked up with a DVD the TV does display high quality viewing. The audio subsystem is just okay but nothing much to talk about. The overall black-level uniformity is not as good as other leading brands.
Price wise there is no comparison to the Vizio P42HD 42-inch plasma. Like many other third-tier TVs, the Vizio P42HD’s impressive specifications contradict its mediocre performance. Besides the price there is nothing much impressive about this TV.
The P42HD design is quite distinctive. It has a front black panel which seems to cause some image distortion. The black frame, screw-on speakers, and a color-matching, fixed table stand add a little elegance to its overall look and feel. The shiny black plastic frame is seen to reflect light from various sources in the room and distract the viewer from watching programs. Vizo should have come up with a matted finish bezel that wouldn’t reflect light to that extent.
The Vizio P42HD doesn’t offer the best of picture quality. Overall the picture is okay when viewed at different angles. The poor quality can really be made out when challenging scenes are viewed on it. The images seem to loosen sharpness and the true color is missing too. The picture lacked details that most demanding customers look out for. The TV is also not so impressive when it comes to measuring black parts. This puts an overall effect on the contrast ratio also.
On fine adjustments this HDTV seems to pick up a little bit in picture quality and contrast. On adjusting the color setting the white balance was accurate and there is no need to adjust the color temperature from its default setting. Preset color temperatures like and warm and cool do not come with this TV which is a little surprising as this is most common in other HDTVs. The worst thing is that there are lower quality inputs available with this HDTV.
Apart from the pricing, Vizio HDTV reviews reveal that the Vizio Plasma range of HDTVs does not offer anything much special. It’s an average looking TV with average features. The viewing experience on this HDTV is just passable, nothing much impressive. The best thing is the styling of this HDTV which is far unique from others. If you can go with the average performance then you might want to try this HDTV.
